High temperature glass and fabric seals are widely used as static seals in applications such as industrial boilers, killns, furnaces, tanks, fireplaces/ovens, etc.
Depending on the material and construction these seals can withstand temperature of up to 1100°C. Through various impregnations, treatments and/or outer coatings the mechanical properties of the base material can be improved to suite specific applications.
